Karri is a Physician Assistant for Dr. Russell S. Petrie and specializes in Sports Medicine, with an emphasis on treating patients who have suffered from a sports injury involving the knee or shoulder.
Karri grew up playing basketball, softball, and field hockey, and joined the women's crew team in college so she understands how aggravating it is to be laid up with a sports injury.
As a high school and collegiate athlete, Karri enjoyed sports and envisioned herself working with athletes. She started her career as a division I collegiate athletic trainer (ATC) and spent eight years taking care of athletes in various sports before moving on to become a Physician Assistant. Her background as an ATC, made orthopedic surgery with an emphasis on sports medicine a natural fit.
Karri's Healthcare Philosophy
My goal is to help our patients improve and/or maintain their quality of life through physical activity. Athletes come in all ages, shapes, and sizes. Whether it is chasing grandkids or finishing an Iron Man, our patients deserve the best orthopedic care.
