Biography

Ashley supports Dr. Matthew Siljander & Dr. Hafiz Kassam in the operating room, clinic and hospital. Growing up locally in Mission Viejo, Ashley received her Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Studies at Azusa Pacific University and later earned her Master’s in Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MMS) at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton California. She previously worked at CHOC hospital in Orange California as a medical scribe as well as a local Physical Therapy Aide.

Ashley first discovered her interest in orthopedics while growing up as an athlete and experiencing a multitude of orthopedic injuries firsthand. She was a 4-year scholar athlete and 1-year team captain for the volleyball team at Azusa Pacific University. She found joy in being able to surround herself with others who may have experienced similar injuries. Ashley has been working in Orthopedics for the last 2.5 years since graduating and has focused from foot and ankle to sports medicine, and now arthroplasties.

Ashley is an active member of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). In her spare time, Ashley loves playing volleyball, being at the beach, reading, camping, and hiking. She is a huge sports fan, you can always find her attending local football, baseball, or hockey games during the season.

Being able to work together as a team will give patients the best opportunity for a successful treatment outcome. My goal is to provide that quality care so that they can return to a healthy and active lifestyle.”

Ashley's Areas of Expertise

Ashley primarily works on Hip Replacement and Knee Replacement patients as well as Shoulder Replacements, Elbow Replacements, and Sports Medicine Injuries. Although much of her work is focused on surgical treatments with her supervising orthopedic surgeons, she can diagnose and treat numerous hip, knee, shoulder and elbow conditions. She often performs conservative treatments such as cortisone injections for knee, shoulder, and elbow pain as well as collaboration with physical therapists to provide multidimensional care.
