GetWell, previously known as HealthLoop, is a cloud-based patient engagement system that helps patients stay connected to their Newport Orthopedic Institute surgeons and staff throughout their surgical journey — from pre-admission to post-operative care. This automated tool provides relevant patient education to our patients in-between physician visits with insightful, actionable and engaging information.

GetWell allows our orthopedists, sports medicine doctors and pain management specialists the ability to track the progress of patients after surgery through digital check-ins that arrive at the right time during the patient's recovery to provide specific guidance, reminders and educational materials that are all specific to the condition and treatment provided. Commonly asked clinical questions are also available to help patients find answers to their questions quickly and easily.

Best of all, GetWell helps patients stay on-track with their recovery, enabling them to get back to their normal life. But, should any clinical concerns arise, the GetWell tool is also an avenue that allows patients to more easily communicate with their orthopedic surgeons to get extra hand-holding and early detection to help prevent re-admission to the hospital.

How Does It Work?

Once you have been invited by your doctor at NOI, you will get an email invitation to check-in to the GetWell app. After you activate your account, you will be able to use your computer or smartphone to connect with your care team at NOI. GetWell will provide automated guidance and reassurance, help you organize what to do and when to do it, track your progress, and answer your questions through HIPAA compliant secure messaging.
