How do I know if hip surgery is right for me?
When conservative (non-surgical) treatments such as medication, physical therapy, injections and exercise have been tried but still do not alleviate your hip pain, it may be time to seriously consider hip surgery. Your final decision whether to proceed with hip surgery or not, will greatly depend on the level of pain you are experiencing and the limitations to your normal daily activities.
If you have experienced any of the below, it may be time to consult with one of Newport Orthopedic Institute's hip surgeons:
- Groin pain
- Bone-on-bone arthritis
- Trouble performing daily tasks
- Dressing or putting on shoes and socks
- Getting in and out of a car
- Standing for long periods of time
- Exercising or sleeping without pain or stiffness
We're here for you — to help you live your life pain-free.
